We finally made it to Iowa for a weekend. It had only been a month and a half since our last visit, but it seemed like longer than that! We were all ready for some farm-and-grandparent time. :)


Greg and Merri are adding on to their house, and so the boys were able to take advantage of some dirt piles. They particularly enjoyed a rock pile that I think must have been more dust than rocks! I didn’t even like to touch their clothes after their evening of play!


Aunt Diane and Tim got a new dog on Friday evening and brought him by Greg and Merri’s so we could all have a look. The boys adored him, and the puppy seemed to be glad for some playmates for a bit (or just to get out of the vehicle!).


We were able to get over to Grandpa Dan’s and Grandma Kathy’s for a bit too, and even a quick visit up to Grandma June’s. Ran short on time, so we missed a bean-picking excursion. Grandma Kathy had enough fresh veggies out at lunch though to at least satisfy our palates for awhile!


We’re hoping for a return visit already at the end of September to maybe get in on some combining. We’ll see!! :)
