Palisades

Abram’s 5th birthday is coming up on the 17th. He mentioned last week that he would like to go to Palisades for his birthday. I’m not too impressed with the 90 degree days, so I told him we’d go if we found a nice day some time. Well, this weekend we were blessed with beautiful weather, less than 80 degrees, nice breeze. Mark had things to do Saturday morning, but we finally made it up to Palisades (it’s about a half hour drive) by 5pm. We had time for walking three of the trails (only missed one) and a picnic supper. Just couldn’t have asked for a better evening! And nobody fell in the water. :-) (Oh, and that’s a baby bunny in the picture. Josiah and I discovered some baby rabbits while we watched the big boys do their climbing).
great pictures! My guys just had a ‘boys only’ camping trip to palisades a few weeks ago, they had a great time and can’t wait to go back! but i’m wondering how much climbing they did that i didn’t hear about. b/c when i just showed them your pictures, levi said HEY WE DID THAT! then looked like ‘oops, wasn’t supposed to tell mom that!’ HA!
